The New Creatives is a project set up to get graduating arts students to chat, network, skill swap and generally create stuff together. It's hard to get someone to take a risk on a new face in the current economic climate SO we’ve created this online space for Art/Media/Film/Photography/Drama students to use as a network to meet like minded people with varying skills to create projects together.

As well as a place to meet people, it is also a place to see an example of what work they do. You can post your music, films, animation, photography work, scripts, whatever you do and receive feedback from other users. This lets you see straight away whether you would be interested in working with someone.

A network isn’t a network without a physical meeting so every month there will be a New Creatives event which will involve a screening of work, a chance to meet the folk in person you’ve met online, a well-stocked bar and some fine music.

This site will only work if you populate it so post some work, meet some fellow art students and create something magnificent.

Sign up, sign in and then get posting. You will have your own profile page to which you can add updates, a photo, personal details and as much else as you want. Then post music, films and photographic work to the relevant pages and leave them open for comment. These will also come up on your profile page.

~ The Events Page is primarily to organise the monthly event but feel free to post details of an event you’re organising.

~The Professionals page will feature interviews with people working in the local creative industry
